When inflating balloons for outdoor use, remember that the air or gas inside the balloon will expand the warmer it becomes. When temperatures exceed 75 degrees try not inflating the balloon 100%. Try 85-90% inflation. This will leave more room for expansion and result in less breakage.
When using a product such as Hi Float for extending the helium life of a latex balloon, try inflating the balloon air first. After letting the air out, spread the Hi Float over the inside surface of the semi expanded balloon. You'll find the coverage to be more consistent using the larger surface.
